I have one of these. (Do a search for gutter vaccuum).I live in the woods, so I do have to empty the vac a few times in the Fall, because I have about 200 feet of gutter to clean.But you'll never go back to using a ladder again. Know what. I hate ladders.Buy enough straight extensions to reach your gutters, and get 2 90° PVC elbows that fit the top extension, at the hardware store.At 6HP, you can now stand comfortably on the ground and safely vaccuum leaves, pine cones and twigs from your gutters, wet or dry.This works so well, there is a guy on the Web selling the setup now. This does it better and faster than you ever could by hand. For my house, it's a 20 minute job now.
Nothing gets in the way of this vacuum and it's goal - picking up any extraneous junk on your floor. I also appreciate the nice long cord which lets me use it outside (plugged in inside) as a leaf-blower.My only gripe is that the extenders are constantly coming apart. I recently moved into a house that wasn't cared for all that well and this vacuum was one of my first purchases. It sucks the dust away from anything I point it towards, it cleaned up the entire basement - wood chips, bolts, pieces of cinder block, other things I didn't dare try to identify. Why isn't there any clip or notch or threads on it. I would deduct a half a star if I could, but if I really jam the parts together it doesn't bother me too much.FYI - It came with all of the accessories pictured on this page.
This is a replacement for an old 16 gallon vac that owned for years. This new model is MUCH quieter, and more powerful. I really like the bag feature also.
If you try to use the paper bag it gets clogged up. I purchased this item to handle a recently purchased planar. While the shop vac is a good vac it is not able to handle the planar. But it will work if you ditch the bag.For other uses, like cleaning up the wood shop, it works very well. I have not tried it on a wet cleanup.I love all the attachments that come with it as some of the other vacuum cleaners you have to purchase the accessories extra, which of course cost as much as the vacuum.
I love this machine.The price was great and delivery was very fast. This vac is quiet with a great pick up.Very strong.It is great for use on everything from cars to the basement.I am very happy that I made this purchase. Thank you.
